Kids’ Athletics is one of the largest grassroots development programs in the world of sport.

To celebrate Kids' Athletics Day, we worked with World Athletics to launch a global campaign spanning 120 countries, all aimed at getting kids active and moving.

The World Mile Challenge was born - honouring the 70th anniversary of Roger Bannister’s historic sub-four-minute mile on May 6, 1954, the campaign encouraged participants to run, jog, or walk a mile, aiming to “Run the World” one mile at a time.

At the heart of the initiative was a web app serving as a central hub for the campaign. It enabled Member Federations, clubs, schools, and individuals to register their miles, with real-time tracking that fostered a sense of friendly competition.

We also developed a comprehensive toolkit of resources, including certificate templates and event branding materials, which were distributed to Member Federations to drive excitement and participation.

The results were incredible: a total of 1,383,394 miles were run—equivalent to 55 trips around the globe!
